Week One- Post One: Introduction

My name is Lauren Symonds I am a junior and Child Development major at Meredith College. I will be graduating next year in May 2013.

I am taking this class because I love working with animals. I have rehomed several stray animals on my own and have adopted two myself, Lucy my rottie mix and Moose my chiweenie.

I hope to understand more about blogging and learn about imbed images and photos into a blog. I also would like to learn more about animal overpopulation because I think it is a serious issue.

I am most looking forward to meeting the animals and helping them find homes. I am taking 12 credit hours this summer so I know this will be a nice release.

I am intimidated by the imbedding photographs with meta-data because I have never done it before. I am also nervous about how I will feel if an animal I am working with does not adopted or gets sick.

This is not my first online class. I have taken a few online classes at WakeTech and loved them. I am good about managing my time, which is extremely important when taking an online class.

My expectation of an online/hybrid class is that I am able to do the work on my own time. Like I said I am taking 12 credit hours this summer so I am hoping this class with be flexible. I understand that I will have to make a commitment, but I hope the course work will be manageable.
